Skolinitiativet: Under de 20 åren som ni har varit med och styrt har Solna gått från att ligga på tredje plats bland de Stockholmskommuner som satsar mest pengar på skolan till att vara tredje sämst? Hur ser du på det?

Jag tänker så här, att det viktiga är ju resultaten och att alla barn får det stöd som de behöver. Och då är det ju så att jag bedömer att det går att göra det inom ramen för den pengen som vi har.

Det finns inget egenvärde i att ha en högre skolpeng än vad som behövs, men självklart ska den ju ligga på en nivå så att man får det resultat som man eftersträvar. Och man kan ju ändå konstatera att, ja, absolut, vi ligger nånstans i den nedre delen av kommunerna i länet gällande skolpengen.

Men om man tittar på meritvärden så ligger vi nånstans i mitten, så det finns inget omedelbart samband där.

Skolinitiativet: Hur skulle Solnas politik se ut om KD hade ensam majoritet?

Vilken rolig fråga. Vi har ett antal olika områden som vi har pekat ut inom skolan och där pratar vi särskilt om en stärkt elevhälsa, att det ska vara ordning och reda i skolan och att det ska finnas stöd av vuxna i skolan. Och om man tittar på Kristdemokraternas skolpolitik generellt så brukar vi alltid prata om en skola där ingen hålls tillbaka och ingen lämnas efter.

Till exempel specialpedagoger brukar ju nästan alltid förknippas med elever som behöver extra stöd, men de skulle också kunna användas för att sporra extra duktiga elever så att de känner att det är meningsfullt att gå i skolan.

Skolinitiativet: Riktmärket 30 elever per klass –  tycker du att det är i linje med KD:s värderingar?

Det kan kanske vara så att det är 30 barn, men då kan det ju också vara fler än en vuxen i den klassen.

Skolinitiativet: Fast kan vara? Det är ju ni som styr, som sätter budgetar. Det handlar ju om hur de ekonomiska ramarna sätts?

Jamen, självklart. I regel, desto yngre barn, desto färre sammanhang, det var det jag försökte säga förut. Ettåringen, den behöver få vuxna att knyta an till, fyraåringen har ett annat behov och en sexåring är ju 50 procent äldre än en fyraåring och kan också ta till sig mycket mer.

Sen finns det ju naturligtvis enskilda behov, och då kanske man behöver sätta in stödresurser och då blir det ju en till vuxen i det här sammanhanget. Så att, jag skulle nog ändå säga att det känns i linje med våra värderingar.

Skolinitiativet: Vad vill Kristdemokraterna göra för att barn som har omfattande behov av stöd ska kunna få en fungerande skolgång och det stöd som de har rätt till?

Kristdemokraterna vill generellt se en skola där ingen hålls tillbaka och inte heller någon lämnas efter – både i våra nationella program och i våra lokala. Vad gäller resursskolorna så fanns det inte tidigare riktigt reglerat i lagen på vilket sätt man skulle göra.

Så fram till 2016 har Solna betalat någon typ av schablonbelopp till de resursskolor där vi har haft barn som har gått. Och vi har väl tyckt att det har fungerat bra och det har väl skolorna också tyckt. Sedan 2016 ska man istället ha en individuell bedömning av om ett barn har ett behov av ett tilläggsbelopp.

Skolinitiativet: Ni tycker också det är viktigt med daglig motion, eller organiserad fysisk aktivitet. Hur går det ihop med att nya IES och skolgården på Råsunda central är så små? 

Man kan säga att det finns ju olika sätt att motionera. I den bästa av världar är det ju fysisk aktivitet där man verkligen är ombytt och blir riktigt svettig och får en ordentlig pulshöjning.

Sen finns det ju mellanting, där jag vet att det bland annat i vissa skolor i Solna idag anordnas nån typ av fysisk aktivitet i klassrummen, men då är det ju mer att man är ju, ja, man är ju inte ombytt till gympakläder och så.

Skolinitiativet: Är det det ni menar i ert partiprogram?

Jag skulle säga att om det går att få till mer fysisk aktivitet då är det någonting som vi eftersträvar. Och jag tänker att det ska finnas fler idrottstimmar i skolan. Men det är då på nationell nivå. Sen kan man ju försöka att göra det som går för att göra det på lokal nivå utifrån de förutsättningar som finns.

Skolinitiativet: Är inte det ett misslyckande som politiker att bara hälften av Solnas barn väljer att gå i den kommunala skolan, sen som ni kan vara med och bestämma över och verkligen styra och få bli bra?

Jag tycker att det är bra att det finns en möjlighet att välja, och när den här omorganisationen nu är gjord efter sommaren 2021 så kommer det att finnas en kommunal skola som är, som vad ska man säga basskolan i varje stadsdel, i norra, centrala och södra Solna.

Och sen finns det ju ett antal friskolor, både i Solna och i andra kommuner.

Och jag tänker att i Solna och i Stockholmsområdet har vi ju väldigt bra kollektivtrafik så att någon elev reser härifrån till Huddinge eller Sigtuna eller till varsomhelst i länet, kan vara en mycket kortare resa än vad många barn gör till sin vanliga kommunala skola i andra kommuner i Sverige.
